माजी विद्यार्थ्यांकडून व्याहाळकर सरांचा सत्कार

ऋणानुबंध उपक्रमामध्ये माजी विद्यार्थ्यांकडून सत्कार

सरस्वती भुवन हायस्कूलचे सेवानिवृत्त शिक्षक कमलाकर व्याहाळकर यांचा शुक्रवारी माजी विद्यार्थ्यांनी भावपूर्ण सत्कार केला. ऋणानुबंध उपक्रमाअंतर्गत हा सत्कार सोहळा झाला. या भव्य सत्काराने भारावून गेलो आहे, असे उद्गार व्याहाळकर सरांनी काढले.

मूल्याधारित शिक्षणातून व आपल्या संस्कारातून विद्याथीर् घडवणारे गणिताचे शिक्षक असा कमलाकार व्याहाळकर यांचा लौकिक आहे. सरस्वती भुवन हायस्कूलच्या माजी विद्यार्थ्यांनी गुरुंच्या ऋणातून उतराई होण्यासाठी ऋणानुबंध उपक्रम सुरू केला आहे. त्यात व्याहाळकर सरांंचा सन्मानपत्र व स्मृतीचिन्ह देऊन उद्योजक आणि स.भु.चे माजी विद्याथीर् राम भोगले यांच्या हस्ते सत्कार करण्यात आला. गणितासारखा किचकट विषय आपल्या कौशल्याने सोपा करणाऱ्या व्याहाळकर सरांचे योगदान मोठे असल्याचे भोगले यांनी भाषणात नमूद केले.

सत्कार सोहळ्यानंतर राजेंद गोडबोले व गीता देशपांडे यांनी दृकश्राव्य प्रसंग दाखवत व्याहाळकर सरांची मुलाखत घेतली. खोचक प्रश्नांनाही सरांनी तितक्याच दिलखुलासपणे उत्तरे दिली.

दरम्यान, स. भु. हायस्कूलच्या अन्य शिक्षकांचा विजय हुलसूरकर आणि सुहास वैद्य यांनी सत्कार केला. प्रसिद्ध कवी प्रा. प्रवीण दवणे यांनी गुरु-शिष्याच्या नात्यावर भाष्य केले. या कार्यक्रमाला प्रा. दिनकर बोरीकर, आमदार सतीश चव्हाण आणि माजी विद्याथीर् मोठ्या संख्येने उपस्थित होते. सूत्रसंचालन प्रशांत देशपांडे यांनी केले. तर सन्मानपत्र वाचन अजय कुलकणीर् यांनी केले.

आठवणींना उजाळा

दृकश्राव्य कार्यक्रमात व्याहाळकर यांच्या घनसावंगी गावाची चित्रफित दाखवण्यात आली. त्यामुळे गहिवरलेल्या सरांनी बालपणाच्या आठवणी सांगितल्या. तसेच महत्त्वाच्या घटनांना उजाळा दिला. मी डाकू होणार, असे आईला वाटत होते, पण गणिताचा लोकप्रिय शिक्षक झाल्याने तिला हायसे वाटले, असे त्यांनी सांगितले तेव्हा सभागृहात एकच हशा उसळला.

गणित 'फ्रेंडली' होण्यासाठी प्रोजेक्ट

S.B. High school Alumni website was inaugurated today at the hands of MLA Shri Satish Chavan, who is also a past student of this school. Many past students of this oldest school were present in this program. This website has record of over 140000 students who have passed out from the school from 1972-2010. The website allows past students to search their name and update their latest information. They can also connect with their old friends from the school.

SB education Society’s Secretary Shri Ashok Bhalerao hosted this event. He mentioned that this is very good initiative from the alumni of this school and the school will extend every support to alumni members in various activities they carry out for the school. He cherished many old memories of the past students and kept the gathering laughing on multiple occasions.

Speaking on behalf of the alumni members, Shri. Prashant Deshpande explained the objective of this website and appealed all past students to register on this website and stay connected with their old friends. He said that the school is completing 100 years in 2015 and this data will be very useful. He said that there has been overwhelming responses so far and even before the website is formally launched over 120 past students have registered their names on the website.

He appealed to the past students to come together and form an alumni association next year so that this whole activity can be taken to the next level. The alumni plays a very crucial role in the development of the school and he pointed out the contribution made by IITans in the growth of IITs.
The website has many useful sections such as search the names of friends, update profile, know more about the school programs, events organized by the alumni, upload photographs and send messages. In near future this website will have many new features. He hoped that this website will become a vibrant platform for the alumni to interact with each other, come forward for a common cause and organize programs for the benefit of the school.

The alumni members paid homage to ex-MP, President of SB Education Society Dr. Bapusaheb Kaldate, who passed away last week. His contribution to the society, Marathwada region and the country was remembered on this occasion. This brave leadership will set an example for many of his followers, said Prashant Deshpande.

Hon. MLA Shri Satish Chavan who is alumni of this school congratulated alumni team which worked very hard for the success of this website. He hoped that the school will take advantage of this platform and build strong connection with the alumni members. He assured the august gathering that he will contribute wholeheartedly in the development of the school. He congratulated all the alumni team members who took great efforts in putting this website together.

Shri Ashok Joshi, Principal of S.B. Highschool thanked everybody and assured that the school will extend every cooperation to the alumni members. He said all the teachers are willing to interact with alumni members on regular basis and look forward to such interactions.
